Located only 45 minutes north of Auckland, The Stables Matakana is the ultimate venue for business events, staff parties, trade industry gatherings, networking functions, team-building days, awards dinners, and conferences. From boardroom meetings to high-vis crew celebrations, we offer flexible spaces, premium catering, and seamless event coordination.

Capacity & Configurations


The Stables is ideal for groups of 30 or more, with flexible spaces to suit all types of business events. Indoors, we can seat up to 120 guests, or host up to 200 for a standing event. Need more room? When the weather’s on our side, we can welcome up to 500 guests by extending into the courtyards and lawn areas — just add hired cover, tables and seating. Looking for something even bigger or a bit different? Let’s talk. We’ve got options (and a few tricks up our sleeve).

    What really stood out was how seamlessly they worked with neighbouring businesses like E-Volt, Action Matakana, and Smiths to ensure the entire day ran smoothly across multiple venues and activities. Zen gave us some great ideas for some fun additions to the space...light-up furniture, surprise casino, photo-booth and even a smores station! The coordination on the day made such a difference in creating an unforgettable experience for our team.

Hosting our MediaWorks customers for lunch today was a pleasure and a treat, made so by the exceptional support and attention to detail the wonderful event Co ordinator Livvy gave us ,alongside Zen and Kim who run a perfect ship. The venue is so versatile. Gorgeous inside and out, the customers were blown away by a building they’d never been in prior. Our lunch was delicious, hot and right on time.
